MEET THE HAT CLUB TEAM: Daniel Rodriguez

Meet Daniel Rodriguez, an avid hat collector since junior high and manager of the original Hat Club located in the Fiesta Mall.

Where did your love for hats come from?

My love for hats began in junior high and I could say I was one of the “Mall Rats” but would actually go into stores to shop, not just mess around. I would always match my hats with my whole outfit and would color coordinate them. Since then I have continued to match my shoes and hats together every day.

What does HAT CLUB mean to you?

To me, HAT CLUB is a great environment to work in. Being here I have learned a lot of sales/customer service skills. I also enjoy working with my staff and messing around with customers, giving them a memorable experience. I also enjoy the satisfaction of completing the customer’s outfit with matching their hat to whatever they bring in.

What is your favorite HAT CLUB hat?

I would say my two favorite hats are 2TONE Brewers Alt GYMNNV that I bought about 2 years ago and the 2TONE Phillies TLBKMS, which looks just like the Eagles colors.

What influences your decision on buying a new hat?

Usually my decision to buy hats is dependent on colors of shoes that come out or if there is a new fitted that just makes you think,“that’s sick!”

Do you usually wear a fitted, strapback, snapback?

I only wear fitteds but I would say I have 2 snapbacks, one ASU because NIKE made it and the other is a King Apparel cap that I couldn’t resist.

What HC store do you manage and what makes your store so unique?

I currently manage “The Party Mall” aka Fiesta Mall. This store is unique because we have a wide variety of clientele, and a large portion of them that are members, which means we have a lot of repeat customers. Additionally, it is the first HAT CLUB store.
